A clear plan, no obligation
You get our view and the next steps in plain terms. Whether to go ahead is entirely your decision.
Do both owners need to agree to the sale?
For a jointly owned home, both legal owners normally need to sign the sale documents. Where there is disagreement, your solicitors or a court order set out what happens. We act on instructions that both owners, or a court order, provide.
How do you keep communication fair?
We send the same written updates and offers to both owners, or to both solicitors if you prefer, at the same time.
Can one owner stay in the home while it is sold?
Yes. We arrange viewings around whoever is living there and agree the arrangements with both owners.
Should we get a formal valuation for the divorce?
Financial settlements sometimes need a formal valuation by a chartered surveyor. Our market appraisal is an agent’s opinion of achievable price. Your solicitors will tell you which you need.
Can the sale be kept discreet?
Yes. An off-market sale shows the home privately to vetted buyers only, and we can avoid public listings if both owners prefer.
Do you give legal advice?
No. Legal advice on the separation and the division of proceeds comes from your solicitors. We handle the sale and keep them informed.
What does it cost?
A single agreed fee on completion, set out in writing before you instruct us. The initial conversation and valuation are free.
