Handover support

Take handover of your Dubai off-plan home with support

Handover is when years of payments turn into keys, and it is easy to sign before defects are found or documents are complete. We coordinate the process with the developer, arrange an independent inspection through a specialist and follow up the snags in writing.

  • Developer paperwork coordinated
  • Independent snagging arranged
  • Ready to let or move in

Outcomes

What handover support covers

  • Paperwork in order

Final statement of account, utility and service charge set-up and title deed issue followed through.

  • Independent snagging

An inspection by an independent specialist we arrange, with findings in a written report.

  • Defects followed up

Snag list submitted to the developer and re-inspected before you sign off, where the developer allows.

  • Next step ready

Letting, furnishing or resale lined up so the unit does not sit empty.

FAQ

Handover support: your questions answered

Can’t find what you’re looking for?Talk to our team.

  • Does Belgrave carry out the snagging inspection itself?

No. We arrange an independent specialist inspector, whose fee is quoted to you before the inspection, and we coordinate the results with the developer.

  • What is a snagging list?

A written list of defects and unfinished items found at inspection, such as finishes, fittings or systems, for the developer to put right.

  • Can I refuse handover if there are defects?

Your rights depend on your sale and purchase agreement. Please ask your lawyer. We help you document issues clearly so they can be raised properly.

  • What do I pay at handover?

Usually the final instalment and certain charges set by the developer. We check the statement of account against your agreement before you pay.

  • I am overseas. Can you handle it for me?

Yes. With the right authority in place we can attend for you and report back in writing with photos.

  • Can you let the property straight after handover?

Yes. Our lettings desk can prepare and market it so letting starts as soon as the unit is ready.

  • What does handover support cost?

Any fees are explained and disclosed in writing before you commit.
