Regulatory & licensing
General information about the regulators and professional bodies relevant to the markets in which we operate or partner. Registration details, membership numbers, and the identity of the licensed entity in each market are provided on request.
Belgrave Estates operates directly and through licensed partners across several jurisdictions. Real-estate brokerage is regulated differently in each market, and the relevant authority, the licensed entity, and the professional standards that apply depend on the location of the property and of the transaction. The notes below describe the regulatory context for each market in general terms. They are not a substitute for the specific engagement documentation you receive when you instruct us, and they do not assert any particular licence, registration number, or membership. Where you need the precise regulatory status of the entity acting for you, please ask your advisor and we will provide it in writing.
United Arab Emirates — RERA / DLD
In Dubai, real-estate brokerage is overseen by the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), the regulatory arm of the Dubai Land Department (DLD). We operate and partner in the UAE and work with locally licensed brokers for transactions that fall within DLD jurisdiction. The licensed UAE entity and its brokerage permit details are available on request.
United Kingdom — FCA / NAEA Propertymark
In the United Kingdom, estate-agency work is governed by the Estate Agents Act and associated consumer-protection legislation, with anti-money-laundering supervision and, where relevant to regulated financial activities, oversight by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). We align our UK practice with the standards promoted by NAEA Propertymark. Any regulated financial advice is provided only through appropriately authorised parties; we do not provide regulated financial advice ourselves.
Saudi Arabia — CMA / REGA
In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, real-estate activity is regulated by the Real Estate General Authority (REGA), with the Capital Market Authority (CMA) overseeing regulated investment activities. We operate and partner in the Kingdom in cooperation with locally licensed parties, and we do not carry out CMA-regulated activities except through duly authorised entities.
Qatar — QFC / Qatar real-estate regulation
In Qatar, real-estate brokerage and related professional activities are subject to national real-estate regulation, and certain activities conducted within the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) fall under the QFC framework. We operate and partner in Qatar with locally licensed counterparties for transactions within their jurisdiction.
Oman — Ministry of Housing
In the Sultanate of Oman, real-estate registration and brokerage matters fall under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and associated authorities. We operate and partner in Oman in cooperation with locally licensed brokers for relevant transactions.
Switzerland — SVIT
In Switzerland, real-estate professional standards are promoted by SVIT, the Swiss Real Estate Association, and brokerage is subject to cantonal rules that vary by canton. We operate and partner in Switzerland in line with SVIT standards and applicable cantonal requirements.
Singapore — CEA
In Singapore, estate agents and salespersons are regulated by the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA). We operate and partner in Singapore in cooperation with CEA-registered parties for transactions that fall within CEA jurisdiction.
