FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How is UK stamp duty (SDLT) calculated on a prime London purchase?
SDLT is charged in bands on the purchase price, with a surcharge for additional properties and for non-UK residents. Our calculator applies the current bands to give an indicative figure, but a senior advisor will confirm the exact liability for your circumstances.
Do these calculators cover Dubai, Riyadh and other GCC markets?
Yes. The transfer-tax tool includes the UAE 4% transfer fee and comparable closing costs for other markets, so buyers across the GCC, London and Europe can model total acquisition cost in one place.
What is the difference between gross and net rental yield?
Gross yield is annual rent divided by purchase price, while net yield deducts service charge, vacancy, management and maintenance. For super-prime assets the net figure is the honest one, and our yield calculator lets you set those assumptions.
Are the mortgage figures binding?
No. The mortgage tool gives an indicative monthly payment and total interest based on deposit, rate and term. Private-bank terms for high-value lending are negotiated individually, and a senior advisor can introduce you to the right desk.
How current are the FX rates used in the converter?
The converter uses our reference rates with a snapshot fallback so it remains useful offline. For a live rate on a specific transaction, speak to your advisor, who will coordinate with the relevant currency desk.
Do you store the numbers I enter?
No. Every calculation runs locally in your browser with no sign-up and nothing sent to us. Your inputs stay private unless you choose to share your shortlist with an advisor.
